Footed bucket with a swing lid, in silver plated copper, with thermal mercury glass liner.
The lid and the liner ensure a longer preservation of the ice. 

On the bottom the maker's mark, two lions holding a shield, "Silver on copper". That is a Lehman Brothers Silverware mark. Lehman Brothers was founded in 1905 in New York, New York ???
