Elegant pair of French Art Nouveau candlesticks, cast in finely detailed gilt bronze and mounted on deep red marble bases. The design features naturalistic scrolling foliage and delicate birds in flight — a graceful motif of freedom and harmony typical of the Belle Époque. Each stands on four ornate feet, with softly curved surfaces that shimmer beautifully in candlelight.
Standing approximately 28 cm high, these candlesticks unite architectural balance with sculptural refinement. The craftsmanship is superb, and the warm golden patina of the bronze complements the rich tones of the marble perfectly. Both are in very good antique condition, with only light age traces and a naturally mellowed gilding.
