A striking vintage round tray, handcrafted in Italy in the 1940s, made from carved wood and hand-gilded with gold leaf. Measuring 39 cm in diameter, it features an ornate baroque-style edge and a richly decorated checkered central pattern in coral, ivory, and forest green — a classic example of Florentine decorative art. This type of tray, known as “vassoio fiorentino”, was traditionally made in Florence using centuries-old techniques. Each tray is individually hand-painted and pressed with intricate motifs, making every piece truly one of a kind.
