Overview

Cloisonné vase, enamel on copper, China, circa 1950s

A delicate cloisonné vase in enamel on copper, made in China around the 1950s. Richly decorated with traditional floral motifs in shades of green, pink, lilac and yellow over a black ground, it exemplifies the detailed craftsmanship typical of mid-20th century cloisonné work. The vase features fine wirework separating each field of color, a technique rooted in centuries-old Chinese metalwork traditions. It is mounted on a carved wooden base, removable, but included in the sale.

Its compact size—approximately 17 cm in height without the base—makes it ideal for displaying on a shelf, mantel, or as part of a larger collection. Despite its age, the condition is excellent, with no visible loss of enamel or structural flaws.

A refined object with enduring decorative value, offered at a fair and accessible price. Free shipping is available for all orders above 200 €, and we are happy to arrange payment in other currencies upon request.
