Overview
Candle holders, set of 4, mixed metal, France, circa 1960s–70s
A refined and sculptural set of four hand-forged candle holders, made in France around the 1960s–1970s. Crafted from a dark-toned mixed metal, likely an iron alloy, they display a beautifully organic design. Each stem rises from a stylized leaf base, evoking natural forms while maintaining a minimalist silhouette. The patina is consistent with age, adding depth and authenticity to their presence.
Three of the candle holders measure 24 cm in height, while one is slightly shorter at 20 cm, creating a subtle rhythm when displayed as a group. Their slender verticality gives them an elegant profile, perfect for adding understated drama to a dining table or mantle.
These are not mass-produced objects—they are individually hand-wrought, which makes each piece slightly unique. It’s increasingly rare to find such sets intact and in good condition. This grouping is offered at a fair price considering their handmade character and decorative strength.
