Set antique pitcher and bath basin, white and blue hand printed ceramic, France early 19th century.

This beautiful antique set can be used also seperately, as a pitcher for serving water or drinks, and as a large salad bowl.

The bottom of the basin shows the markings "Iris FF Pexonne France". The Fenal Freres Pexonne factory was founded in France, in Pexonne, in 1857 and remained in business until 1897. A peculiarity of the factory was that it did not use clay, kaoilin or lime for the production of its products; but only the wood, and then the coal, for cooking the terracotta.

The bowl has a diameter of 39 cm. The pitcher has a capacity of 3.5 lt.
