Silver plated 4 piece tea set from Meriden Britannia Company.
Quilted pineapple design on body. The neck of the teapots and the milk jug are decorated with flower-themed engraving. All items are marked with the company's mark and dated 1972.
Teapot 1100 ml, height about 19 cm, width 25 cm. Hinged lid, sieve inside.
Water kettle 1600 ml, height about 26 cm inches, width 23 cm. Hinged lid.
Sugar bowl 500 ml, height 14.5 cm, width 18 cm
Cream jug 250 ml, height 14 cm, width 13 cm
Meriden Britannia was founded in 1852 in Meriden, Connecticut, as a manufacturing company specializing in the production of British metal products. For a time it became the largest silverware company in the world.[2]
