Lidded Serving Bowl, Silver Plated Pewter, France, 1900s
This lidded serving bowl is a larger size, perfect for serving soups or other dishes.
The handles are beautifully shaped with organic rococo detailing. The lid is also richly decorated with a plant motif, the knob is a pomegranate.
The base is marked "Etain d'art titre legal", indicating that it is silver plated pewter. There is also the silversmith's mark, a lion crest with the initials "P K". Exceptional condition. Diameter 21cm, depth 7cm, capacity approximately 1 litre.
