This delightful 3-armed candelabra features an octagonal scrollwork pattern and many unique details. It is silver-plated metal, in excellent condition. It features the "Lutetia" mark on the base, it is one of the most famous hotels in Paris.
The Lutetia was built in 1910 in the Art Nouveau style by architects Boileau and Tauzin, it became a favorite meeting place for the colorful inhabitants of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Its cream-colored Art Nouveau walls and famous Brasserie discreetly welcomed merchants and musicians, debutantes and the demi-monde. Famous guests over the years included Pablo Picasso, Charles de Gaulle, Marianne Oswald, André Gide, Peggy Guggenheim and Josephine Baker. James Joyce wrote part of Ulysses in this hotel.
