This extraordinary 19th-century French teapot is a brilliant example of Rococo Louis XV revival design, rich in both ornament and historical presence. Entirely silver-plated, it rests on four decorated feet and is adorned with finely engraved floral motifs that cover both the body and the lid with astonishing delicacy. The lid is crowned with a sculptural finial in the form of a blooming bouquet, a romantic touch that echoes the floral engraving.
